When Kim Hunyh opened the first Nail Shop location in Brannon Crossing in 2019 she wasn’t necessarily planning a second location, but says, “My goal has always been to open a location downtown, in the heart of Lexington where innovation and diversity come to life.”
Within two years, The Nail Shop has made a name for itself in Lexington by combining old and new practices, from hiring a team of established technicians to integrating a mix of new marketing techniques and social media tactics.

The interior space of the new salon will resemble the style of the first location, yet have a more industrial feel that fits the vibe of the new MET development. Services offered will remain the same with the addition of eyelash extensions and facial waxing.
The Nail Shop survived the first round of Covid related closures and reopened with new policies in place. The new location will offer bridal parties again, which was a service that was halted at the height of Covid.

I'm really happy with my experience at Lavish! The artist did a great job, the check in was easy, and everything was clean and comfortable. They were pretty busy when I was there so an appointment is probably a good idea depending on the day/ time though they do take walkins as well. This was my first time getting a real manicure and I'll definitely go back. Went in and immediately was walked back. I wanted ombré and Elin did fantastic! Took about 45 minutes and pricing was decent. Overall a very clean and comfortable environment! Best experience I’ve had while getting acrylics! Staff was super friendly and they took me in before my appointment time, I fully recommend coming here.

Everybody there was so nice and accommodating, they actually wanted to make and keep conversation with you while working on your feet or hands. Jason did such an AMAZING job on my special manicures and pedicures, and Mark did an AMAZING job on my mom's nails! And having a glass of wine on the side or a mimosa ain't bad either???? I will definitely be coming back. B was my nail tech and he understood the assignment. I am big on the shape of the nail and B was able to execute on that. I love love love my nails and I love that they have a bar as well cause ya girl like a lil drink every now and now lol. Anny was amazing!!! Made my nails look so good and took her time to make sure they looked perfect and would last. She’s the best!
